If you are looking for a great way to support missions and help Guatemala orphans, look no further than Mimi’s House, founded by Catalyst Resources International (CRI). Guatemala had about 100 adoptions last year with 6% of them coming from Mimi’s House. Not bad for a small orphanage!
Currently, there are 9 children at Mimi’s House, ranging in age from 5 months to 3 years old. The boys outnumber the girls right now - 7 to 2! After visiting Mimi’s House in September and again in February, it is clear to see that these children love having visitors. The older ones wanted to show me their toys, while the infants were happy just being held.
Mimi’s House hopes to return the children to their families (if it is safe to do so), place them with a foster family, or have them adopted. Their goal is to provide a loving, Christian atmosphere for the children while they wait for a permanent home.
Mimi’s House provides the children with formula, diapers, food, clothing, medical, dental, and vision care, as well as caregivers who supervise the children 24 hours a day. It costs $1,000 a month, per child, for CRI to keep Mimi’s House running. If you would like to help support this ministry, here are a couple of ways to donate. To donate directly to CRI: https://www.catalystresources.net - Click on Sponsor a Child or to donate through Partners in Missions: https://www.partners-in-missions.org - Just select Orphanage or Kids in Krisis, and we will make sure Mimi’s House gets your full donation! - Thanks in Advance, Karla Jordan
