Latest data tells us that 25-40% of the world’s population have never heard the Gospel in their language and there is only one missionary to every 400,000 unreached people. That’s hard to imagine in a day with all of the technology and resources at our disposal. The great English pastor/evangelist of the 19th century was once asked, "Will the heathen who have never heard the Gospel be saved?” He replied, “it is more a question with me whether we — who have the Gospel and fail to give it to those who have not — can be saved."
Paul wrote in Romans 15:18 “I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done…20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known.”
Yes, we must continue to disciple Christians, bring them to maturity in Jesus. Let the Church consider new methods of gaining territory from Satan by taking the Gospel to those who have not heard.
